Change Together

Support for women who have had one or more children permanently removed from their care.

This service wants to give women a voice to allow them to focus on themselves and their needs. It aims to offer the chance for you to:

  • gain control;
  • get the support you need;
  • initiate choice;
  • and to implement meaningful change in your lives.

How we can help

Change Together offers you support after Child Proceedings have ended.

We will:

  • Work with you for around 6 to 12 months.
  • Provide positive intervention and range of support. This will help you to engage with services that will create meaningful opportunities for you.
  • Support you to access relevant health services. These include:
    • sexual health and contraception;
    • mental health and well-being;
    • substance misuse;
    • and domestic abuse.
  • Help you to:
    • Acknowledge and take responsibility for previous life choices and behaviours.
    • Focus on your identity and take control of starting positive changes in your life.
  • Work with other agencies to make sure services that can benefit you are effectively delivered.
  • Follow a structure of work. This is flexible and offers you a chance to explore key areas of your life story, at your own pace.

We ask that you explore options around long-term contraception and commit to this.
