An updated draft plan was submitted to Calderdale Council on 31st January 2024.

The examination was via written representations rather than a virtual public inquiry.
Referendum
After the independent examination, Cabinet determined that the Todmorden Neighbourhood Plan should go to a referendum.
The referendum question is:
"Do you want Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Todmorden to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
The referendum will take place on 6th March 2025.
